How to find the perfect headphone for traveling

Whether you are traveling by plane, train or bus it can be a noisy experience. People talk loudly, children play around and it just not something you want to listen to for 6 hours. Unfortunately, traveling first class or in an isolated area isn’t always available. So turn to headphones to create your own personal space. There is no need for you to be in an overwhelming space of chaos.

Depending how long your travel will be and how frequently you travel, investing in high-tech headphones may be the best route to take. When the usage of the product outweighs its value, then spending more will be beneficial in the long run.

When you are in an area with a lot of people it is good to consider noise-cancelling or noise-isolating headphones. Noise-cancelling headphones completely block out outside noise. You wont be able to hear the crying baby, all you’ll hear is your music. For someone who does not travel as often, noise-isolating headphones can be more ideal. They cost less and they isolate noise. These are usually in-ear headphones with silicon that create a seal in your ear preventing sound leakage. Both of these features are great for traveling. Noise-cancelling headphones are more expensive than noise-isolating headphones as they have added technology to complete block out sound. However, when traveling they both get the job done of trying to create an isolated atmosphere.

This feature lets you hear your music louder without turning the volume to its max. Noise-isolating headphones, and over-the-ear headphones prevent sound leakage letting you hear your music clear and loud. These types of headphones will let you enjoy your music without bothering the person next to you with your music.

Wearing headphones for a long period of time can be uncomfortable, so make sure you purchase comfortable headphones. Some people find in-ear headphones uncomfortable after a while. Over-the-ear headphones sit on your head and do not protrude your ear canal. Make sure your headphone has soft padding that will give you the option to fall asleep with them on without making your ears sore.

Headphones tend to be larger in nature when compared to earphones (in-ear headphones). Look for headphones that fold. This will take up less space in your bag. Some headphones come with foldable features, which fold into half its size. Others have rotating ear cups that allow the headphone to lay flat. Earphones are much smaller and take little to no space in your bag. Some even come in a caring pouch, which makes it easier to locate them in your bag.
