Why can’t I hear any sound?
To address the issue of no sound, please review the following checklist:

Why can’t I turn on the speakers?
To power on the Edifier speakers, you can utilize either of the following methods:
Connect the main power source to your speakers.
Activate the wall outlet connected to your speakers.
Why did noises coming from my speakers?
To address any noise issues with the speakers, please perform the following steps:
Transition the speaker system to active mode.
Disconnect the audio source.
Listen for any unusual noises from a distance of 1 meter away. If no issues are audible at this distance, it suggests that the speakers are functioning correctly.
Why can’t I connect my speakers via Bluetooth?
To resolve any Bluetooth connectivity issues, kindly consider the following steps:
Confirm that your speaker is set to Bluetooth mode and disconnect any other paired devices.
Ensure that you are operating within a Bluetooth transmission range of no more than 10 meters.
Attempt to establish the Bluetooth connection with an alternate Bluetooth device.
I set these Edifier R1280DBs speakers up on opposite sides of the room, 15 feet apart, connected via Ghost Wire which runs on the floor under a rug. I mainly use them while watching movies and TV on my projector screen. I am using the optical connection via an HDMI audio extractor. The sound has exceeded expectations, filling my vaulted ceiling viewing room with a full sound that is heard everywhere in the room. Directional sound from either side to the other is also specific and good. For initial testing, I had them set up much closer together with the shorter supplied speaker wire. They were good, but they became excellent when I spread them further apart. I'm very satisfied and plan to add the Edifier T5s subwoofer, to be positioned on the floor, under the projector screen, directly between the speakers.
The speakers are very sturdy and look great not cheap. They sound pretty nice my only concern is I wish they were louder. They work fine for the room you are in. I will definitely have to add a amplifier or subwoofer. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase and the online purchase was easy and shipping was fast.
I am using these new speakers for streaming Pandora via a mobile phone. They produce a wonderful pure sound. As a temporary measure to improve low frequency response I have connected a subwoofer. With emphasis on 'temporary fix', I have ordered an Edifer Subwoofer via Best Buy and expect delivery April 2. That combination should complete my book shelf size addition for streaming Pandora. (The Fuller speakers below the Edifers in the attached photo are independent speakers, connected only to my HD radio and serve as a premium sound source for listening to broadcast HD radio programs.)

I’m very happy with my pair of R1280DBs speakers, these guys have a very good partnership with the T5 subwoofer as well as with my bluetooth turntable and TV.
I was looking for a pair of speakers primarily for listening to music while working, I finally found my gem. Edifier has excellent built quality, sounds very nice and has a cool look too.

Fantastic speakers. Wish I had picked them up sooner. Listen to them before you purchase a subwoofer. You might not need them depending on your music or audio preferences.
These speakers are fabulous. I connected them with my u-turn turntable and it sounds amazing!!! I recommend these speakers to someone with a low budget or someone who is a beginner.
I unboxed my speakers and found the secondary speaker to have external damage even though the box was not damaged. Someone must have damaged it before boxing and shipped it anyways.
Also lots of sound interference noise.
