Soundfield Spatializer simulates a larger soundstage with the touch of a button. This unique feature creates wide-field sound by optimizing each channel, sending out opposite signals to eliminate mutual interference and improve separation.
30W + 36W RMS undistorted power, 4 inch woofer, and 19mm silk dome tweeter, the Edifier R1700BTs active Bluetooth bookshelf speakers make even the hardly-noticeable sounds very clear. And the DSP(Digital Signal Processing) and DRC (Dynamic Range Control) helps to minimize distortion for improved audio even at low volume.
When connected the sub-out automatically detects the subwoofer and activates the digital crossover. Dual RCA inputs allow you to connect to two devices at a time. Connect to your devices such as phone, PC, laptop, tablet, or gaming console with RCA to RCA audio cable, and 3.5 mm-RCA audio cable, eliminates the need to switch cables.
Convenient dials on the side panel of the speaker allows you to adjust the bass, treble, and volume, press the volume dial to toggle between inputs.

Decided I needed a new hobby so researched turntables and speakers that wouldn’t permanently harm my bank account. Found these Edifiers on sale…about half the price of the turntable I purchased. The vinyl sounds great! But with the Bluetooth so do songs from my phone and movies/shows from my tv! That’s my cat enjoying Gojira up close and personal. Turntable is fun but wish I had saved the money and gotten a set of Edifiers for my other tv!

These speakers performed well via Bluetooth connection. The bass sound is great but I still considered to add the Edifier subwoofer in the near future. The service was great as well. It took only 2 days to get the delivery after ordering. I think it's better to order directly from Edifier than from Amazon or any other authorized dealers.

Speakers sounded great. Didn't fit in my current arrangement. I returned them and still waiting on my refund. It's been 9 days since return. Edifier has had them at least 5 of those days. Tick Tock.... no responses to emails inquiring.

The speakers deliver impressive sound for their price and can easily fill a small bedroom. Perfect for nearfield listening. The remote control is a great touch, letting me power off, adjust volume, and switch between Bluetooth and analog cable without getting up.

I’m very satisfied with this Edifier speaker. The sound quality is clear, the bass is good, and it works great for my PC setup. It was easy to connect and the build quality feels solid. For the price, I think it’s a very good speaker and I would recommend it.

The power supply died on the speakers almost 2 years to the day that I received them. I have tried multiple outlets, toggling the power switch, etc. Tough to spend that kind of money and have them only last that long.
Sounds great! Easy set up
I combined the 1700DBS and a T5 Subwoofer. I am quite impressed with the cabinet, construction, materials, components and weight. Ample I/O and Controls. I very much consider the speakers and the Sub to be good value. I think both, for average apartments or homes, rest at the sweet spot of price, quality and specifications.
We love the great sound for classical music
Set up was super easy. The speakers allowed input from cable source and also bluetooth (phone) without needing a receiver. The cable connecting the left and right speakers is really long. Cables and speakers are solid and high quality. The speakers sound great, much nicer than my bluetooth portable speaker. If you are looking for a simple setup that does everything, this product is for you. I thought the price was very reasonable. The speakers also look great (I got the wood looking ones). I’m not sure if I will ever use the remote, there are nice controls on the right speaker. Overall, great purchase!
Great sound for small frame
Great looking and sound speakers, just wish the cable that connects the two together wasn't a proprietary cable. It should be a standard cable that is easier to replace if something happens.

Amazing and crisp high end! Sound is very clear and shines on primarily vocal tracks. Bass is not crazy, but could be easily remedied with a subwoofer. Overall great product and I love the sound.

I am a beginner audiophile and this pair is the first step in my journey. I have not heard these highs and lows in this size before. The audio delay on the Bluetooth input seems better than any of the Bluetooth devices I've owned before. I used to manually adjust the audio delay every time I plug in headphones. I specifically got the sub out option because I am planning for adding a sub later on. This is just my first impression, more testing to do of course, but as of now - this is a great pair of speakers and I am happy with the purchase
I was skeptical when I ordered these speakers but am glad I did. These book shelf speakers pack a punch...the sound quality is amazing for the price. Definitely go the ones with the sub-out. It makes a huge difference when u add a subwoofer to the subset. I went with the Edifier T5. Now am all set :)
i was expecting a more hifi sound.. is missing more bass.. but is ok 6/10
