Lower Cabinet Resonance
Resonance is great when it’s your room shaking from the bass, not so much when it’s your subwoofer cabinet shaking from poor design. We use high quality, medium density fiberboard (MDF) materials that offer reduced cabinet resonance for the cleanest sound around.
Adjustable Bass and Frequency Bandwidth
Change bass volume on the fly with a convenient knob located on the back panel of the unit. An adjacent knob controls the frequency range of the subwoofer, allowing you to raise or lower the frequency where it starts to filter out sound.

The Edifier t5 sub has surpassed all my expectations. The R1280DBs speakers were already great by themselves but with the sub I'm blown away how good it sounds. I honestly didn't think a simple plug and play system like this would sound this good but boy was I wrong lol. Good stuff Edifier 👏👍

I had purchased the Edifier 17000BTS and loved it. I added the Edifier T5 and I did a double take. The T5 brought out the real potential of the main speakers. The T5 was the perfect compliment.

Actually, I bought one years before at Best Buy. That one is still working good and sounds really good. It goes way down below the specs as my ears discern. Now, I saw one on sale and is giving to my nephew as he's starting to engage in the audiophile hobby. A very good entry level at affordable price.

I have had the R1700BT bookshelf speakers for a few years now. Great speakers but it always felt like I was missing out on some great lower frequencies with my music. Decided to take a look at the T5 Sub as it looked perfect for entry-level to moderately-experienced audiophiles and general music/media users. Well the T5 gave me that extra UMPH and more. WAAAAY MORE. For the sake of my ears I don't go too crazy with the LPF but every now and then I'll turn'up. Very happy with this purchase. Edifier doesn't disappoint.
I added the Edifier T5 sub to Edifier 1700BTs bookshelf speakers. They mesh well. My only suggested improvement would be to make the bookshelf speakers shut down automatically after 30 minutes like the T5 sub.
It does not take much to get good output. The knobs and switches on the rear allow for great tuning options.
Love it has plenty of bass I have it in my bedroom and I had to turn it down becasue of how good it projects the bass and for the price its very impressive especially when I had no sub before and this is paired with the Qr65

Got the T5 to use with my Edifier D12 stereo speaker, in my bedroom. The bass response from this small subwoofer is surprisingly powerful. And with its amplitude, frequency-response, and phase-setting controls, it was very easy to tune its output to perfectly match the output of the D12, and the acoustics of the bedroom. I listen to a lot of straight-ahead jazz, and the T5 produces a very satisfying and delightfully clean bass-line tonality. Just what I wanted!

Works Amazing with MR4s
We ordered the Edifier T5 subwoofer to enhance the sound of our Edifier R1700BTs Active Bluetooth Bookshelf Speakers. The hookup was very easy and we are very pleased with the sound. The base is even and strong. We originally had a Bose speaker and subwoofer system hooked up to our computer but when one speaker stopped working that was it. The Bose subwoofer would not work with other speakers. My husband is very pleased with the sound that the Edifier system is putting out and we both agree that it is much clearer and sounds better than the Bose.
The finishing touch, this a great sub for the money. I just put the packing box in the recycle bin, so it’s official. With the speakers, this set-up offers a lot of flexibility in a relatively small package. I am able to use my set-up to hear my Zoom meetings better (now that people are all in the same room on the Zoom now using lousy central microphones), listen to streaming music from my phone or my TV (connected via the optical cable), and to my Bluetooth turntable across the room. The added subwoofer, out of the way, under my desk, really enhances the whole experience. The “system” sounds great - which is the most important thing!
This is a great subwoofer. I have it paired with the Edifier R1700BTs. The sound quality surprised me. It is perfect for what I wanted the setup for, music and movies at my desk. Best audio purchase I've made in awhile.
